Allyson Farrell

Allyson is an active freelance French Horn teacher and performer in the Twin Cities.  She plays in many diverse settings including orchestra, band, and brass quintet.  Allyson enjoys teaching an active studio of wonderful students of all ages and ability levels.  In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her two Wiems -- Ace & Marley, Crossfitting, running, cooking and spending time with her husband, Peter.

Teaching Experience

  • Currently have 30+ students in my studio
  • Full time private lesson teacher in the Twin Cities since 2007
  • All practice assignments are assigned based on individual progress
  • I enjoy sharing my knowledge and love of music to my students
  • I encourage students to learn solos and participate in large ensembles

  • Large ensemble experience in the Twin Cities area and South Dakota Symphony Orchestra
